Dear Readers,
Thank you for patience and loyalty in my grand switch to Asteroid B612 and Drupal.
Sorry about all the spam recently. We've been trying to work on that, introducing the Captcha thingy. I just changed it from Impossible Image to Decipher Captcha to Your Elementary Math Facts Captcha. Hopefully, that will a little bit more user-friendly. Sorry about the angst.
I (well, hubby did it) also added a feature where you can send me a note by filling out a form--see the header menus. Or you can just send me an old-fashioned email. I may remove my email address from the left sidebar eventually, but for now it's fine.
Now I have one question for you. I have noticed that I seem to be getting fewer comments on the whole than I was back at Moot Thoughts & Musings, and while that is totally your prerogative and I don't take it personally, I was wondering if there were something about my new blog that makes it more difficult/intimidating to leave a comment (aside from the recent Captcha issue). Is anyone having any trouble? Or do you have questions about the new format? I'm just curious, because we had a good thing going there, and I miss you a little. Could be just slow summer plus my boring blog. ha!
You will also be noticing some template changes around here. We'll be tweaking for awhile. I had to live with Plain and Minimalist for awhile. Needed to clear my head. Now that I've lived in this space for awhile, I'm starting to want to beautify it a bit. It's been a big adjustment switching to Drupal, but it's fun!
Thanks for your love.
All the best,
Diber

Hey J'net!
I have just loaded you onto my google reader...I've been having trouble with adding subscriptions but it suggested I add your feed and voila, we are back in action.
I'm also coming out of baby-haze, you can relate? And so hopefully I can get back into the discussion.
Also, power to you on the potty train, so funny.
And love elementary math, how fun is that :)

J - I still read every post and comment often, I think. Also, a drop in visitors/comments is probably normal when the blogger changes locations. Some people just don't make the move with you. And after the baby, it seems to me that you've posted less often. If a blog becomes less active, then perhaps people don't check or comment as much. I don't think the "look" of the blog is not that big a deal, IMO.
I always read your posts in Google Reader, and then if I want to comment I have to come to your blog itself. I wonder if that makes a difference for other folks, making it a little more inconvenient for them to say hello???
Hey - I LIKE the math thing at the bottom!!
mary kathryn:
Pardon my bad grammar there :) The blog look is not a big deal.

My main concern is that, for some reason, commenting is more difficult than it used to be. Or at least perceived so.
Grammy:
the only thing i find a bit tiresome is the two step process for leaving a comment (preview;send). But that won't keep me from commenting! You haven't really posted as much between M and vacation.
diber:
Yea, that is a little bit of a pain. Hopefully will cut some spam.
And I do realize that the infrequency of my posting has contributed.
rylee95:
I didn't see that it was a two-step process. That explains why my recent comment didn't show up. And it was exceedingly clever, too. :)
Fan of your blog:
I love your blog. It's great.
I did find it harder to read your blog after you moved because the new site was not compatible with Internet Explorer. I had to view your blog through Firefox. Now, however, it seems to work with both browsers.
Keep up the good work!
Moriah @ Please Pass the Salt:
Yeah, I didn't know you had to 'preview' first until I emailed you that time about it... so maybe others don't know either?
TulipGirl:
Same with me with the commenting preview thing. . . I forget to do that. (Like, with a lot of the covblogs, I sometimes forgot the extra step in commenting on those.) Seems like you've changed that already, though. . . *grin* Oh, and I always mistype my URL, so it asks for the http:// . . . Not that THAT stopped me from commenting, but it was another adjustment here. *grin* I like your new blog. And I liked the "old" one.
Keri:
It's possible you are not getting many comments because your old blog was listed on DeafRead while this one isn't...???
Hope all is well! =)
Hugs!

You can also add your feed to the Covblogs aggregator in order to get that audience back. I added you to my google reader, I'm just bad about clicking through to comment.

I'd second the recommendation to get your feed on covblogs, as you accidentally fell of my radar for a while
